The final chapter of one of the world’s most storied and popular franchises, “Fast X” will launch Dom Toretto and his ever-expanding family into the most dangerous mission of their lives.
The film will feature many of the main players introduced over the years, including Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel and Sung Kang. It will also introduce a new women-led team.
Production Starts in April 2022
Production on Fast X, the tenth installment of the Fast and Furious franchise, will begin in April 2022. Vin Diesel shared an Instagram post on 20 April announcing the title and logo for the film, which reads “Fast X.”
The movie will focus on Dom (Vin Diesel) and Mia (Jordana Brewster) as they battle new enemies and old friends, from London to Rome and from Portugal to Antarctica. It will also include appearances from Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Sung Kang, Helen Mirren, and John Cena.
It’s hard to say how long the movie will last, but one thing is for sure: it will feature plenty of high-velocity stunts that will take the series into the sky once again. It will also feature some important characters who are missing from F9, including Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson), Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham), and Kurt Russell’s spymaster Mr.
It’s hard to know how much of an impact these characters will have on the story, but it’s safe to assume that Dom and Mia’s long-lost brother, Jakob Toretto (John Cena), will be back for Fast 10. And if you think about it, it makes sense that Mr. Nobody would also be back as well — his fate in the last film left a little something to be desired.
Cast Updates
The Fast & Furious franchise is well-known for its incredibly large cast of famous names. The upcoming movie is no exception, with many returning stars and plenty of new faces.
The latest installment of the franchise is expected to feature a who’s who of the action blockbuster world, including Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Sung Kang and Charlize Theron. And there are new stars too – like Brie Larson and Jason Momoa, who will be joining the franchise for the first time as villains.
As for the returning cast, fans should expect to see a number of their favorite characters return, such as Lucas Black, Bow Wow and Jason Tobin. They all made a brief appearance in the last film, but were quickly established as part of Dom’s crew.
It’s also been reported that John Cena, who played Dom’s brother Jakob Toretto in the last film, will be back as well. It’s unclear whether his role will be significant or not, but he’ll definitely be present.
The Finale
Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his crew take on a deadly threat they never thought they’d face: a son of a Brazilian drug lord who has spent the last 12 years masterminding a plan to make Dominic pay for what he did.
The film will see the return of main cast members Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster and Nathalie Emmanuel, with Jason Momoa, Brie Larson and Daniela Melchior joining the franchise for the first time.
Another intriguing aspect of Fast X is that it could establish a spin-off featuring women as agents in the series. While the details of this spin-off aren’t known, it is possible that Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez and Nathalie Emmanuel will branch out to lead their own team in the next chapter of the Fast and Furious saga.
While the Fast & Furious franchise may be coming to an end, there are still many spin-offs set to follow in the future. Fans can’t wait to see the next chapter of this story!
Spin-Offs
The Fast And Furious franchise is one of the most successful action blockbusters in Hollywood history. Originally based around illegal street racing and petty theft, the series has evolved into a high-octane mix of heists, family drama, and plenty of violence.
But the underlying theme of the franchise has always been about family. Dominic Toretto and his crew have always pushed for family values and emphasized that they were more important than the cars they stole or the action set pieces they pulled off.
While the Fast & Furious series is set to end with a two-part finale in 2023, there are still a few spin-offs coming down the pipeline. The latest news is that Charlize Theron’s Cipher is set to get her own spin-off.
